How Do I Make the Text Bigger on My Phone?
If the words on your phone are too small, you can usually make them larger without buying a new phone.
What’s happening?
Your phone has settings that can change text size. Some phones can also make buttons and other items larger. Menu names can vary by phone model.
Common causes
- Text size is set too small
- Display size is set too small
- An app has its own text setting
- Your phone uses a display or accessibility setting that you do not recognize
Things you can safely try
- Open Settings. Use the search box if your phone has one. Search for text size, font size, or display size.
- On an iPhone, look under Display & Brightness or Accessibility.
- On an Android phone, look under Display or Accessibility.
- Increase the size one step at a time. Check a text message or webpage after each change.
- If available, try Bold Text or another built-in accessibility option that makes words easier to see.
