The fine print, all in one place
Terms & Conditions
These terms are between you and LoTyde Tech LLC, doing business as LoTyde Tech Assistance. Last updated November 1, 2026.
Billing, travel, Care Plan, discount, device repair, website, and 3D printing terms for LoTyde Tech Assistance. Prices themselves are on the Pricing page.
Billing & time increments
Requesting service authorizes the work and billing at posted rates; a completed job counts as approved.
Rates below are cash or check prices (see Cash discount).
All hourly work is billed in 15-minute increments, rounded up to the next increment. Website content formatting and 3D design and finishing are quoted by the job instead.
- In-home help, first hour (per visit)$50
- In-home help after the first hour$40/hr · $10 per 15 min
- Device repair labor$40/hr · $10 per 15 min
- Business on-site support, first hour$75
- Business on-site support after the first hour$60/hr · $15 per 15 min
- Additional website work$60/hr · $15 per 15 min
- Website content formattingbased on $60/hr
- 3D design, modification, finishing & assemblybased on $30/hr
- Care Plan member rate, in-home$35/hr · $8.75 per 15 min
- Care Plan member rate, device repair labor$35/hr · $8.75 per 15 min
The $50 in-home first-hour charge covers up to the first hour of residential help, per visit. Care Plan members have no $50 first-hour charge.
Additional website work ($60/hour) is billed in 15-minute increments ($15 each), rounded up, like all other hourly work. Website plan terms are under Websites, hosting & domains.
Estimates & approvals
- Quotes, estimates, and "From" starting prices are our best estimate from what we know before the work starts. An estimate is not a fixed price or a cap.
- If we find that a job will run over the estimate (for example, a second problem, or earlier work on the device that has to be fixed first), we contact you with a new estimate based on what we found.
- We continue only with your OK. If you decide not to continue, you are billed only for the work already done, at the posted rates.
Travel zones & fees
Travel fees are based on estimated one-way travel time from Indiana Borough. The primary service area is generally about 15 miles, subject to actual travel time.
- Zone 1 · up to 20 minutesFree
- Zone 2 · 20–30 minutes$10
- Zone 3 · 30–40 minutes$20
- Zone 4 · 40–50 minutes$30
- Outside the area · over 50 minutesQuoted
Care Plan members: travel fees are waived up to $10 per visit. Zones 1 and 2 are free, Zone 3 is $10 (standard $20), and Zone 4 is $20 (standard $30). Visits outside the service area are quoted, minus the $10 member waiver. Travel savings apply to residential Care Plan service only.
Business service uses the same zone fees as residential service, without Care Plan travel savings.
Care Plan
The Care Plan is $99 per month, the cash or check price (see Cash discount). The membership covers LoTyde Tech service time and the benefits listed here. The Care Plan does not make all services free.
Included hours
- 3 hours of eligible service are included each billing month. They may be used for eligible in-home help, device repair work, and fixed service packages.
- Hours can be split across visits (for example three 1-hour visits, or one 2-hour and one 1-hour visit) or used in one 3-hour appointment, as long as the total does not exceed 3 hours in the billing period. Appointments longer than 1 hour must be scheduled in advance.
- Hourly work, in-home help or device repair, uses the actual time worked, deducted in 15-minute increments, rounded up (for example, a 40-minute visit uses 45 minutes).
- Flat-price services and packages use a set number of hours (see Package hour equivalents).
- Unused hours do not roll over into the next billing period.
- Care Plan hours, member rates, and travel savings apply to residential service only. Business on-site support, Organization Tech Help, Scam Awareness Sessions, and other business or organization services are billed at their own rates.
- Diagnostics and pickup/return are free for members.
- Priority scheduling is subject to LoTyde Tech availability and does not guarantee a specific appointment date or time.
- Brief phone support covers quick questions and guidance; extended troubleshooting may require a service call.
What the Care Plan does not cover
The Care Plan, including device repair coverage, does not include the cost of replacement computers, phones, tablets, or other devices; computer parts or components; cables, chargers, or accessories; software purchases or subscriptions; third-party services; or other products purchased for or on behalf of the customer. These costs are the customer's responsibility and are billed separately when applicable. Parts and materials are always billed separately.
Service & package hour equivalents
Flat-price device repair services and packages use a set number of included hours, based on the service rather than the clock time. Each equivalent is the service's standard price divided by $35 per hour, rounded down to the nearest quarter hour, so using included hours never costs more than the standard price.
Cleaning & maintenance
- Basic Device Cleaning$300.75 hr
- Deep Device Cleaning$501.25 hrs
- Computer Tune-Up$601.5 hrs
- Performance Tune-Up$902.5 hrs
Security, Windows & setup
- Security Checkup$401 hr
- Virus & Malware Cleanupfrom $601.5 hrs min
- Windows Reset / Reinstall$802.25 hrs
- New Computer Setup$752 hrs
- SSD Upgrade (labor)from $902.5 hrs min
Packages
- Basic Device Refresh$601.5 hrs
- Complete Computer Refresh$1002.75 hrs
- New Computer Transition$1103 hrs
Virus & Malware Cleanup and SSD Upgrade (labor) have starting prices; complex jobs may need more time, which is deducted from available hours. Hourly device services (Windows Repair, Data Transfer, Data Backup, Hardware Installation) use the actual time worked.
Member rates & shortfalls
- After the 3 included hours are used, additional service is billed at the member rate: $35/hour ($8.75 per 15 minutes) for both in-home help and device repair labor. Non-members pay the standard $40/hour device repair labor rate. There is no $50 first-hour charge for members.
- Work beyond the 3 included hours is done as needed and billed at the member rate.
- If a service or package needs more hours than your remaining balance, the covered portion uses your balance and the shortfall is billed at the $35/hour member rate (in-home help, device repair services, and packages alike), in 15-minute increments.
- Example: with 1 hour left, a Complete Computer Refresh (2.75 hours) uses that hour and the remaining 1.75 hours are billed at $35/hour ($61.25). Free diagnostic and free pickup/return still apply.
Payment & suspension
- Payment options: autopay through online sign-up (processed by Stripe by card or US bank account; see Subscriptions, autopay & failed payments), mailed check, cash, or card on file. Members using a card on file outside online sign-up must complete LoTyde Tech's separate payment authorization form.
- Autopay (online sign-up) bills on your sign-up date each month. That date is your due date.
- Check and cash payments (and card-on-file payments outside online sign-up) must be received by the 5th of the applicable month (the 6th if the 5th falls on a Sunday). If a card-on-file payment is declined, payment must still be received by the due date.
- If payment has not been received by the due date, the Care Plan is suspended (paused) until it is paid. Included hours, member rates, and other membership benefits are paused while the plan is suspended. There is no late fee.
- The plan reactivates once payment is received. For check, cash, and card-on-file payers, if payment is received after the 10th, the plan stays suspended for the rest of that month and the payment is applied to the next month.
- Only the veteran discount can reduce the monthly membership fee (10% off every month while you stay a member). No other discount applies to the fee (see Discounts).
Cancellation, no-shows & membership
- Cancel anytime. Membership remains active through the end of the current billing period. Unused service hours are not refundable and do not carry over after cancellation.
- No refunds. Care Plan payments are not refunded, including for unused hours or a partial month.
- There is no minimum membership term. Canceling early, including right after using that month's included hours, is covered by the no-refunds rule above.
- Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without notice may result in the scheduled service time being deducted from the member's included hours. If included hours are already used, the applicable additional-service charge may apply. LoTyde Tech may waive this policy at its discretion for emergencies or other reasonable circumstances.
- Membership is for the individual enrolled customer and may not be transferred or shared with another person unless LoTyde Tech agrees otherwise.
- LoTyde Tech may modify Care Plan pricing or membership terms with reasonable advance notice. Any material change to the monthly fee will not take effect until the customer has been notified and given an opportunity to cancel before the new rate applies, unless otherwise required or permitted by law.
How the savings examples are calculated
The savings examples on the Care Plan page use current standard and member rates. Standard in-home help is $50 for the first hour of each visit, then $40/hour; standard device repair labor is $40/hour. An included hour is worth the most when used for separate in-home visits, because each one skips the $50 first-hour charge. The device repair example includes the $25 diagnostic and $10 pickup & return that members get free. The in-home examples assume no travel fee (Zone 1); in Zones 2–4, members save up to $10 more per visit on travel. Parts and materials are not included in the comparisons.
Appointments & no-shows
- If no one is there for a scheduled in-home or on-site visit, the visit is a no-show and is charged the price of the first hour: $50 for residential in-home help, or $75 for business on-site support.
- Care Plan members follow the Care Plan rule instead: the scheduled time may be deducted from included hours (see Cancellation, no-shows & membership).
- Need to change a visit? Call or text 724‑313‑4458 as early as you can. LoTyde Tech may waive a no-show charge for emergencies or other reasonable circumstances.
Discounts
- New Customer: $25 off your first paid job, in-home help or device repair.
- Refer-a-Friend: your friend gets $20 off their first paid job. You get a $20 credit toward your next service once your friend's first job is paid in full.
- Veterans: 10% off. To get it, call or text 724‑313‑4458 or email lotydetech@gmail.com.
How discounts work
- One promo per job. New Customer and Refer-a-Friend can't be combined on the same job. The one exception is the veteran 10%, which can be added and is always applied last, to the remaining total.
- Cash or check price first. Discounts come off the cash or check price. If you pay by card or bank account, the card or bank price is then figured from the discounted total (see Cash discount). Example: a $100 job with New Customer ($25 off) and the veteran 10% is $67.50 by cash or check, $69.53 by card, or $68.18 by bank account.
- One-time services: New Customer and Refer-a-Friend apply to one-time services only, not to monthly plans. The veteran 10% applies to one-time services too.
- Care Plan overage: the veteran 10% also applies to Care Plan member overage charges (time billed at the member rate after the 3 included hours).
- Monthly plans: only the veteran discount applies. This covers the Care Plan and the website plans (on Starter, both the monthly price and the one-time setup fee). It takes 10% off every month for as long as you stay subscribed. To get it, call or text 724‑313‑4458 or email lotydetech@gmail.com before you sign up.
- Only the veteran discount applies to the Care Plan monthly membership fee. New Customer, Refer-a-Friend, and any other promo never reduce it.
- Discounts and referral credits have no cash value and can't be exchanged for cash.
- LoTyde Tech may refuse or reverse a discount that was obtained unfairly, for example a New Customer discount claimed by a returning customer. A reversed discount is added back to the bill.
- There is no minimum charge after discounts.
- 3D printing bulk discounts are separate; see 3D printing.
Device repair, diagnostics & parts
- The standard diagnostic is $25. Pickup & return is a $10 flat rate within the service area. Both are free for Care Plan members.
- Prices marked "From" are starting prices; the final quote depends on the device and the work required. If a job will run over, we contact you first (see Estimates & approvals).
- Hourly device services (Windows Repair, Data Transfer, Data Backup, Hardware Installation) are billed at the $40/hour device repair labor rate in 15-minute increments ($10 each).
- Parts, materials, software, subscriptions, and third-party costs are separate invoice line items unless explicitly included in the quote. Storage media, external drives, and cloud subscriptions are additional.
- Windows Reset / Reinstall: data backup or transfer, software, and parts may be additional. New Computer Setup: additional migration or special setup work may be billed separately.
- If a package requires additional labor, parts, materials, software, or services outside its included scope, those costs are explained and billed separately. The exact work included in a package is confirmed when booking.
- Prices shown are cash or check prices (see Cash discount). Applicable taxes and eligible discounts are handled according to current LoTyde pricing policies.
- Please back up important files before service when possible (see Privacy, data & backups).
Payment before release
Repaired devices, including devices we pick up and return, are released only after the bill is paid in full.
Abandoned devices
When your device is ready, we let you know using the contact information you gave us. If a device is not picked up, or a return arranged, within 60 days after we notify you that it's ready, it is considered abandoned. LoTyde Tech may then recycle or dispose of it, as allowed by law. Charges already owed still apply.
Business & organization services
- Business and organization services are billed at their own rates. Care Plan hours, member rates, and travel savings do not apply. Refer-a-Friend and the veteran 10% apply (one promo per job, veteran applied last). New Customer is for in-home help or device repair only, so it does not apply to business or organization work.
- Business on-site support is $75 for the first hour, then $60/hour in 15-minute increments ($15 each). Parts and equipment are billed separately, and travel uses the residential zone fees.
- Organization Tech Help covers up to 2 hours of on-site assistance.
- Scam Awareness Sessions are 1.5 hours with up to 20 attendees included; additional attendees (21–30) are $10 each, with a maximum of 30.
- Complimentary facility introductions (up to 2 hours) are for qualifying facilities.
Websites, hosting & domains
These provisions apply to website design, development, and monthly maintenance services and form part of the customer service agreement.
Website builds, deposits & revisions
The project quote identifies the included pages and features, what content the customer needs to supply, and any additional costs. Work outside the original scope requires a separate quote and customer approval.
- Deposit: 50% of the project price is due up front, before work begins. The remaining 50% is due at launch.
- Revisions: up to 5 rounds of revisions are included. A round is one set of requested changes sent together.
- After 5 rounds, extra time is billed at the website-work rate ($60/hour, in 15-minute increments of $15). We let you know before extra time begins.
Domain registration & renewal
Where domain registration or renewal is included in a selected website plan, LoTyde Tech Assistance covers eligible standard domain registration and renewal costs of less than $30 per year. For the Starter and Basic plans, the included allowance is limited to standard domains costing less than $22 per year.
Domains costing $30 or more per year, premium domains, and unusually expensive domain extensions are not covered by the included allowance. Additional domain costs must be disclosed to and approved by the customer before the expense is incurred. Domain registration and renewal are subject to the registrar's pricing, policies, and availability.
Adjustment policy
An adjustment is an alteration to a small section of existing website content or an informational element, such as updating calendar dates or events, updating business information or pricing, changing existing text, or minor formatting changes.
Adjustments must remain within the website's existing structure and functionality. New pages, major redesigns, complex features, major repairs, substantial migrations, or extensive content changes are not included and may require a separate quote.
- Starter: no edits included. Every change is billed at the website-work rate ($60/hour, in 15-minute increments) and is approved by the customer before it begins.
- Basic: no edits included. Every change is billed at the website-work rate ($60/hour, in 15-minute increments) and is approved by the customer before it begins.
- Essentials: 1 hour of small changes per month (text, images, links, minor fixes).
- Plus: 2 hours of small changes per month.
- Premium: 3 hours of small changes per month.
- Complete: 6 hours of small changes per month. These hours are for website adjustments only, not unlimited technical support, incident response, major repairs, or other excluded work.
Starter and Basic include no change hours. Unused hours do not roll over. Additional work is discussed with and approved by the customer before it begins (at $60/hour, billed in 15-minute increments). These allowances cover existing website content and qualifying adjustments, not unlimited development or technical support.
Hosting, forms & third-party services
LoTyde Tech Assistance provides website hosting through its selected hosting arrangement and may use third-party services to support website functionality, including contact forms and streaming integrations. Services are subject to the applicable provider's availability, limits, pricing, and terms.
Eligible standard hosting and domain costs are included in the selected website plan. Premium domains, paid third-party services, or other costs outside the plan require disclosure and customer approval before additional charges are incurred. Customers are responsible for maintaining and paying for third-party accounts and subscriptions assigned to them, including Sermon.net subscriptions. LoTyde Tech Assistance does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms or services.
Starter plan
The Starter plan ($29/month plus an $80 one-time setup fee) includes a one-page website built from an adjustable LoTyde template, website hosting, and eligible standard domain registration and renewal for domains under $22/year (see Domain registration & renewal). It includes a monthly bot check, a quarterly health report, and automated uptime monitoring (see Bot checks & health reports).
- Setup fee: the $80 setup fee is due at sign-up and covers setting up the template page with the customer's business information and connecting the domain. The setup fee is not refundable once setup work has begun, including if the plan is canceled later.
- What the template includes: one page, using the template's existing layout and sections. Before launch, the customer supplies the text, contact details, and images to place in the template, and the setup includes one round of review of that content. A custom design, extra pages, or features the template does not have are not part of Starter; they are available as a website build or an upgrade to another plan, quoted separately.
- No edits included: after launch, every change (including text, image, hours, or pricing updates) is billed at the website-work rate ($60/hour, in 15-minute increments) and is discussed with and approved by the customer before it begins.
- Domain: LoTyde registers and renews the domain while the plan is active, within the standard-domain allowance above. When the plan ends, the domain is transferred under Domain ownership & transfer, and the customer is responsible for future renewals. A domain the customer already owns can be connected instead; its registration and renewal then stay with the customer.
- A $50 domain transfer fee applies when a Starter plan is closed and includes the domain transfer plus all website files.
- Leaving Starter: when a Starter plan ends, the customer receives their one-page website, including its template files and content, as part of the handoff (see Website data & files in the handoff).
- Discounts: the veteran 10% applies to both Starter's monthly price and the $80 setup fee (see Discounts). New Customer and Refer-a-Friend do not apply to Starter.
- Starter follows the same cancellation (30 days' written notice), handoff, and payment terms as the other website plans. Starter can be started online; the first online payment is the first month plus the one-time setup fee, and each later payment is just the monthly price. You can also call or text 724‑313‑4458 or send a message to start.
Basic plan
The Basic plan ($59/month) includes eligible standard domain registration and renewal for domains under $22/year; premium or higher-cost domains may require an additional fee. It covers frequent reviews that the website is active and functional (a bot check every 2 weeks), a monthly health report, and automated uptime monitoring. No edits included: every change is billed at the website-work rate ($60/hour, in 15-minute increments) and is approved by the customer before it begins. Tech support hours, security cleanup, malware removal, major repairs, and priority or phone support are not included; other work outside the plan is quoted separately.
A $50 domain transfer fee applies when a Basic plan is closed and includes the domain transfer plus all website files. This fee applies to Starter and Basic only; there is no domain transfer fee for Essentials, Plus, Premium, or Complete.
Cancellation & 30-day notice
Customers must provide at least 30 days' written notice to cancel website management service. Service is paid through the end of the 30-day notice period. During that period LoTyde completes the shutdown and handoff. The website stays online until the handoff is finished and is taken offline no later than the end of the notice period.
If the customer does not provide 30 days' notice, LoTyde Tech Assistance will retain relevant customer information for 30 days to coordinate the domain transfer and handoff. The remaining payment for the current billing month will not be refunded, subject to applicable law and the agreed billing terms.
When the website is deactivated, LoTyde-provided hosting, maintenance, contact forms, security checks, and other website services cease. The customer is responsible for arranging replacement hosting and any other services they wish to continue, and must cooperate with reasonable transfer requirements, including providing account details and accepting the domain transfer.
Domain ownership & transfer
When website management services end, LoTyde Tech Assistance will coordinate the transfer of the customer's domain to the customer or their designated registrar account. For domains registered through Porkbun, LoTyde may initiate a transfer to the customer's own Porkbun account; the customer must provide the required account information and complete any verification or acceptance steps.
After the transfer, the customer is responsible for future domain renewal costs and related services, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Domain ownership is separate from hosting and maintenance: transferring the domain does not keep the website online or transfer hosting, contact forms, email services, or third-party subscriptions.
Website data & files in the handoff
When services end, LoTyde provides a copy of the website files and customer website data included in the standard handoff, to the extent the materials are owned by the customer or can legally be provided. Depending on the website, this may include HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files, images, customer-provided content, and other files associated with the site. Where customer data is stored separately, LoTyde will provide an available export when it is accessible and legally transferable. LoTyde retains copies of active customer websites to support the handoff.
Website files and website data are not always the same. For example, contact form submissions may be stored by a third-party form provider; their availability depends on that provider's export options.
The standard handoff does not include access to LoTyde's account with our hosting provider, credentials, internal systems, proprietary tools, or non-transferable third-party services. Website migration, rebuilding, and additional technical work are not included and may be quoted separately with the customer's approval.
Bot checks & health reports
Every website plan includes regular bot checks, a written health report, and automated uptime monitoring. How often the bot checks and reports happen depends on the plan:
- Starter: bot check once a month; health report every quarter (every 3 months).
- Basic: bot check every 2 weeks; health report every month.
- Essentials: bot check every week; health report every month.
- Plus: bot check every week; health report every month.
- Premium: bot checks every day; health report every month, or every week on request at no extra charge.
- Complete: bot checks every day; health report every month, or every week on request at no extra charge.
A bot check is an automated check run by LoTyde's tools. It confirms that the website is online and loading, that its secure connection (HTTPS) is working, and that its pages and links respond. On plans that include them, it also runs that plan's security and code reviews described on the Websites page (for example, suspicious-change review, file and dependency checks, or malware screening). LoTyde reviews problems a check finds and handles them under the plan's terms; work outside the plan is explained and approved before it begins.
A health report is a short written summary, sent by email, of the checks since the last report: whether the website stayed online, issues found and what was done about them, anything that needs the customer's decision, and, on plans with change hours, the hours used. Reports cover the checks the plan includes, not a full audit of the website.
Bot checks run on the schedule above and are not continuous, minute-by-minute monitoring. Separately, every website plan includes automated uptime monitoring, which automatically checks whether the website is online between bot checks. See Security & maintenance checks for what checks can and can't guarantee.
Security & maintenance checks
LoTyde Tech Assistance performs website checks according to the selected website plan. Depending on the plan and setup, these may include reviewing availability and functionality, inspecting the live website, examining available code with AI-assisted analysis, and looking for suspicious changes or potentially malicious code.
AI-assisted reviews aid inspection and do not guarantee that all malware, vulnerabilities, or suspicious activity will be detected. Checks are not continuous monitoring unless expressly agreed in writing. Malware removal, incident response, compromised-account recovery, major repairs, rebuilding, and extensive recovery work are not included unless expressly stated in the agreement; additional work is explained and approved before it begins. Security checks do not guarantee that a website will never be compromised or experience downtime.
Sermon.net integration
Sermon.net integration is included upon request for Premium and Complete customers, provided the integration is supported and within the agreed scope. It covers the initial integration of a supported player, media center, or link, not unlimited modifications or ongoing streaming management. Later changes must fit within the plan's monthly change hours or be quoted separately. Customers on other packages may request integration for an additional quoted fee.
The church or organization owns and manages its Sermon.net account and subscription, uploads and manages sermons and recordings, schedules and operates livestreams, and contacts Sermon.net for platform support. The customer pays Sermon.net directly; its subscription, equipment, and other third-party charges are separate from LoTyde's pricing. Sunday is LoTyde's regular day off: Sunday livestream operation and emergency streaming support are not included.
Monthly payments & service suspension
Monthly website plan payments may be made by credit or debit card at the card price (including autopay through online sign-up, processed by Stripe), by US bank account at the bank price (through online sign-up), or by check or cash at the cash or check price. Card details may be retained on file where authorized by the customer and handled using an appropriate payment-processing method.
Autopay (online sign-up) bills on your sign-up date each month. Check, cash, and other payments are due by the 5th of each month (the 6th if the 5th falls on a Sunday). If payment has not been received by the due date, LoTyde Tech Assistance will send a notice of nonpayment. For check, cash, and other non-autopay payments, payment must be received by the 10th to avoid possible suspension. After the 10th, LoTyde may suspend services according to the plan and circumstances, which may include temporarily taking the website offline or suspending maintenance, contact forms, or other LoTyde-provided services. Services may resume after the outstanding payment is resolved.
There is no late fee. Customers remain responsible for applicable charges under their service agreement, and any suspension is subject to the agreed terms and applicable law. These payment terms apply to website plans; Care Plan memberships follow the Care Plan payment terms.
3D printing
- Pricing is based on filament/material ($0.08 per gram) and printer operating time ($1.25 per hour). Design or modification and finishing & assembly are quoted by the job, based on $30/hour. These are cash or check rates (see Cash discount).
- The $10 minimum applies to the overall job.
- Bulk discounts (5% for 5–9 items, 10% for 10–24, 15% for 25–49, custom quote for 50+) apply to material and printer-time costs only, not design or finishing labor.
- Feasibility, material, turnaround, and pricing are confirmed for each project, with a quote before work begins.
Payments
- Accepted payment methods: cash, check, credit or debit card, and bank transfer (US bank account, through online checkout). See Cash discount for the price of each.
- Care Plan: autopay through online sign-up (billed on your sign-up date each month), or mailed check, cash, or card on file, due by the 5th (6th if the 5th is a Sunday). See Care Plan payment & suspension.
- Website plans: autopay through online sign-up (billed on your sign-up date each month), or card, check, or cash, due by the 5th (6th if the 5th is a Sunday). See Website payments.
- Prices shown are cash or check prices (see Cash discount). Applicable taxes and eligible discounts are handled according to current LoTyde pricing policies.
Subscriptions, autopay & failed payments
- The Care Plan and the website plans (Starter, Basic, Essentials, Plus, Premium, and Complete) can be started online. Starter's first payment also includes its one-time setup fee (see Starter plan). Online sign-up sets up automatic monthly payments (autopay) processed by Stripe. Autopay charges the plan's card price, or its bank price if you sign up with a US bank account, on your sign-up date each month, less the veteran discount if it was applied at sign-up (see Discounts). By signing up, you authorize LoTyde Tech LLC to charge your payment method each month for your plan until it is canceled.
- Card and bank account details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout. LoTyde Tech does not see or store your full card or bank account number. See our Privacy Policy.
- If an automatic payment fails, including a bank payment that is returned unpaid, Stripe retries it automatically at no cost to you. If Stripe charges LoTyde Tech a fee because a payment failed or was returned unpaid, that fee is passed on to you. A retry does not change your sign-up-date due date; an unpaid plan follows the Care Plan payment & suspension rules or the website payment terms. You can update your card or bank account, or pay by check or cash, at any time.
- Cancellation follows each plan's existing rules. The Care Plan can be canceled anytime and stays active through the end of the current billing period (details). Website plans require 30 days' written notice (details). Autopay stops when the cancellation takes effect.
- Care Plan payments are not refundable. Website plan payments follow the website cancellation terms.
Late payments
LoTyde Tech charges no late fee on any bill. If a payment is late, service pauses until it is paid:
- Care Plan: the plan is suspended (paused) if payment is not received by the due date (see Care Plan payment & suspension).
- Website plans: services may be suspended (paused) if payment is not received by the 10th (see website payment terms).
- One-time jobs and invoices: until an invoice is paid, repaired devices are held (see Payment before release) and new service is paused.
Returned checks
A check returned unpaid by the bank has a $25 returned check fee. After a returned check, that customer can no longer pay by check; later payments must be made by cash, card, or bank transfer.
Card and bank disputes
If you dispute a card or bank account payment with your bank or card company instead of contacting us, LoTyde Tech is charged a $15 dispute fee, and that $15 is passed on to you. Please call or text 724‑313‑4458 first; most billing questions can be settled quickly.
Cash discount
Our regular price is the card price: the price when you pay by credit or debit card (both are treated the same). Customers who pay by cash or check receive a cash discount and pay the listed price. Bank account (ACH) payments through online checkout pay the bank price. The prices shown throughout our website are the cash or check prices.
- The cash discount applies to one-time jobs and to monthly plans (the Care Plan and the website plans), including the Starter setup fee.
- Online checkout and autopay charge the card price when you pay by card, or the bank price when you pay from a US bank account. Checkout shows the exact amount for the method you choose before you pay. To pay a monthly plan by cash or check at the cash or check price, call or text 724‑313‑4458.
- Card price rule: each card price is the cash or check price × 1.03, rounded to the cent, for credit and debit cards alike. On an itemized bill, the card total is the cash or check total × 1.03, rounded to the cent.
- Bank price rule: each bank (ACH) price is the cash or check price × 1.01, rounded to the cent. Bank account payments are made through online checkout and take a few business days to clear. A bank payment that is returned unpaid is handled as a failed payment (see Subscriptions, autopay & failed payments), and the $15 dispute fee rule also covers bank payments.
- Monthly plan prices:
- Care Plan: $99/month cash or check · $101.97/month by card · $99.99/month by bank account
- Starter: $29/month cash or check · $29.87/month by card · $29.29/month by bank account; one-time setup $80 cash or check · $82.40 by card · $80.80 by bank account
- Basic: $59/month cash or check · $60.77/month by card · $59.59/month by bank account
- Essentials: $99/month cash or check · $101.97/month by card · $99.99/month by bank account
- Plus: $149/month cash or check · $153.47/month by card · $150.49/month by bank account
- Premium: $199/month cash or check · $204.97/month by card · $200.99/month by bank account
- Complete: $399/month cash or check · $410.97/month by card · $402.99/month by bank account
- For a one-time online payment, enter the cash or check total from your invoice. Checkout then shows the card amount (× 1.03) or bank amount (× 1.01) before you pay, and that is the amount charged.
